Dr. Alexander, DVM
Dr. Alexander joined Heights Hospital for Animals in 2016. She graduated from the University of Miami in 2010 with a Bachelors of Science in Marine Science and Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She received her doctorate from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 and graduated with honors. Most recently, she completed a rotating internship at North Houston Veterinary Specialists, where she worked closely with doctors in an array of medical cases including internal medicine, surgery, oncology, as well as, dermatology.
Dr. Alexander's interests include surgery and internal medicine.
Dr. Alexander is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and is USDA certified.
She currently has a Great Dane, "Dante" a lab mix, "Finn" and a cat, "Asterix" who live with her. She is very big into the outdoors, such as camping, kayaking and fishing. She loves sports, especially football (both college and professional), likes working out and she especially enjoys baking at home.
"I have been gone from Houston for the last 10 years but am very excited to be back, especially working within the Heights community. I hope to continue the best care for their animals with my knowledge and skill as well as further my relationship with the heights community as a whole."
